What does freeze drying do to the food?

Is it frozen, is it dried?  It’s kind of both.  Freeze drying is a process whereby the raw food is rapidly frozen and placed in a vacuum.  Cell structure, and all the goodness; calories, nutrients, and the taste! are all preserved.  The water (about 80%) is removed under low temperatures.  Making it lightweight and portable!

What source do you use for your beef liver treats?

The BEST available! The beef liver is from American ranchers who are committed to conscious and ethical practices.  We use liver from the steer, no cow.  USDA Prime or better, human grade food.  The animal feeds on prairie grasses up till the last 90 days, where they are switched to grains (to pass USDA requirements for marbling).  No hormones, dyes or antibiotics are used.

How do you store freeze dried food?

Freeze dried food can be stored at room temperature, without the risk of spoilage.  All our products come in resealable bags, so every treat is as fresh as the first one!  It is portable and great for taking on road trips and for outdoor enthusiasts.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Freeze dried food has a shelf life of 20+ years when kept in their sealed package.  Great for your dog’s emergency food bank!

Based on our customers, the treats will be long gone before any spoilage occurs.  We batch date each package and you can trust the treats are like you just opened the bag for a minimum of 2 years.  Just make sure to seal the bag after each use.

Are your products guaranteed?

Yes.  We offer 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.  If the treats or food do not meet your expectations, we offer 100% money back guarantee on every order.  Please refer to Shopping Online for details.

BPA-free packaging? An explanation.

Our bags are made with PET/LLDPE and PET/A/LLDPE.  You can trust they are safe.

Ralph Vasami, executive director of the PET Resin Association, “We want the public to know that PET doesn’t contain any BPA and never has. Although the names of the two plastics may sound somewhat similar, they are chemically different.”

PET is a clear, strong and lightweight plastic belonging to the polyester family. It is hygienic, retains freshness and is break resistant.  LLDPE or Poly is the inside layer. It provides a moisture barrier.
